My fellow bloggers! Our lives are too complicated. We need to make them simpler. The world needs us to make them simpler. Most of the rest of the planet needs us to make them simpler.
Now is not the time for bragging, for all of us who have the capacity to read these words are responsible for the state of the world.
Now is not the time for digging our heads in the sand and pretending that the issues are Someone Else’s Problem.
Now is not the time to cover ourselves with guilt and to sit paralysed in the corner.
No, my friends.
Now is the time to time out to make a clear and clean assessment of our lives, however ugly and messy they have become. Now is the time for us to act – not for the sake of financial gain, for popularity, for political or one-upmanship – but because it is the Right Thing to Do.
And in that knowledge we will face the hurdles. We will not be discouraged when simple solutions prove in time to be complicated. We will not give up when our steps forward seem small and insignificant.
This is our creed. This is our goal. This is our destination and we will work hard to reach it.
